Over lakhs horde of people in Ardh Kumbh for Basant Panchami
Over 25 lakhs horde of people confluence on ghats of Ganga and Yamuna along with mythical Saraswati for Basant Panchami and for the final royal bath by sants of akharas during the ardh khumbh which is running from long time in Allahabad.
They gathered on ghats from early morning so that they can have the holy dip. Mahanirvani akharas were the first to have the holy dip and they reached the ghats of the Sangam in colourfully decorated chariots for third and the last Shahi Snan. The place was covered with high security.
For taking holy dip in Sangam Senior Naga goes on horse back waving swords and spears accompanied by musical groups. As Basant Panchami is the mark of beginning spring season and dedicated to worship of Goddess Saraswati so it is celebrated in the huge way.
