Injured Officer Returns to active duty in J&K

K. Rajendra, Inspector General of Police (IGP) of the CID returns to the duty after the recovery. Last year in May Rajendra has been wounded in when he tossed himself between politicians and militants at the Sher-e-Kashmir Municipal Park. Mr. Rajenrda is posted on the second most important post in the intelligence agency of the state police.
Chief Minister of J&K, Ghulam Nabi Azad, who was set to tackle a memorial rally on the 15th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi May 21, had kept away following a danger by suicide attackers.
Approx 40 people were wounded and 9 people were killed at that time when Mr. rajendra occurred several bullets in the terrorist stabbing where numerous ministers were on the dais. And after that Rajendra was moved to Hyderabad (hometown) for treatment.
Rajendra, A 1984 batch IPS officer has also sustained the posts of deputy inspector general of police in the Doda-Udhampur range and Rajouri-Poonch range belt of Jammu region and has faced several severe anti-militancy operations.
We all salute to Rajendra’s bravery as several ministers reportedly acknowledged Rajendra’s bravery at Wednesday’s cabinet meeting.
