Book fair: On hold by the order of Calcutta High Court

Book fair which was running in Kolkata was put on hold today by Calcutta high court and the reason behind this is that high court has said that till the organizer, publishers and booksellers of the Book fair will have to obtain permission from relevant authorities. A division bench carried by Chief Justice Bhaskar Bhattacharya and Justice K K Prasad has directed to the book fair organizer to obtain the permission from the police, state pollution control board and other related authorities so that the 32nd book fair can go ahead.
This order have been given after taking action for the PIL filed by high court advocate Sabyasachi Roychowdhury in which he challenged the permission provided by Defence Ministry for this book fair.
According to the petition it is said that no fair would take place in the maidan then how come such a book fair have got the permission for this fair. So now you have to wait till the organizer of the book fair take permission from relevant authorities to carry out this book fair.
