India’s First Ever Solo Olympic Gold

India wraps up its first ever individual 2008 Olympic gold medal. Historic victory for the twenty five year old Abhinav Bindra from Chandigarh came next to heavy odds as he go into the event ranked number seventeen in the world and rutted the Athens Olympic winner Henri Hakkinen of Finland and Zhu Qinan of China.
Abhinav comes out to be successful in his ten shot which takes to win final with a finishing point of 1104.5, leading his competitor Zhu’s which was in silver winning position scoring point 700.5 and in third place Hakkinen who score 699.4 point positioning in bronze place. Abhinav Bindra was a businessman from Chandigarh who open the account for Indian athletic since after, India’s wait for a gold when hockey team get a yellow metal in Moscow Olympics in year 1980.
